Dying Light 2 Hakon – Should you save or leave Hakon?

In dying light 2 ruined city of Villedor, it’s hard to know who to trust. So when friends don’t turn out to be as steadfast as they seemed, is it really that much of a surprise?

The choice of whether help hakon or leave him dying is timed, so you may just come to see if you made the right decision.

While this choice may be a bit wishful thinking, it may still have some implications for later in Dying Light 2’s story.

Should you help Hakon or let him die in Dying Light 2?

Without diving into spoilers or giving too much context, it is better to help Hakon.

Opportunities to develop relationships with certain characters present themselves as you progress through Dying Light 2, and if you’re a fan of happy endings, then it makes sense to keep Hakon as a friend.

Hakon may figure relatively heavily in a secondary faction’s story and play a role in the conclusion of the main story, depending on subsequent choices. So while this one decision doesn’t necessarily have a massive impact, it does open up the option for “good” story opportunities in the future.

Also, you have seen what happened to Dylan and other people who betrayed Waltz at the beginning of your time in Villedor. Can you really blame Hakon for standing in line when he knocked on the door?

Whatever you decide, now is the time to focus on getting downtown and exploring the myriad of activities and quests on offer in the Central Loop.

Now that your association with anyone Sofia or Aitor has reached a critical point, you can face a new set of challenges in a different part of the city.
