Here’s everything coming to Battlefield 2042 with the January 20 patch

After what seemed like months of radio silence, battlefield 2042 developer DICE has officially returned to share some of its immediate plans for the game with its player base.

In a series of tweets and a blog post, the multiplayer shooter’s developer announced that the first patch of the new year is coming tomorrow, January 20, to all platforms. The update will be activated without any downtime, in 12 a. m. PT, 3 a. m. ET, 8 a. m. Reino Unido. The 3.2 patch is a small one, focusing primarily on various stability issues.

It has a couple of crucial fixes worth noting. First off, infantry will no longer slow down when being shot by vehicle weapons or explosives in general. The patch also has a couple of hit detection fixes for Sundance (after landing with the wingsuit), as well as hit detection for vehicle weapons.

Beyond the fixes below, you can also expect XP gain to return to Portal alongside the patch release. Developer Ripple Effect created a new categorization system that is not very easy.
