Released alongside the iPhone 13 family, iOS 15 brought with it a bunch of cool new features and tricks, including one that could save you a lot of time.
Another one of these tricks is one that could prove invaluable if you live in a part of the world where the skies can open at any moment: an alert that lets you know before rain. As a Brit, I wholeheartedly support it.
This new feature is hidden in the Weather app and it also notifies you if there is snow. Enabling it is very easy and could prevent you from getting soaked on the way to work or school, as shown in the following video of our channel of Tik Tok, which contains even more iPhone tips.
Do you want to know how to enable rain notifications on iPhone? That’s how.
Note: Location services must be enabled on your iPhone for this to work, which you can check by going to Settings>Privacy>Location Services and change the lever to the about position. Your iPhone must also be running iOS 15 and above.
How to enable rain notifications on iPhone
1. Opened the Weather application and tap the three points at the top right. Then, tap “Notifications.”
2. To turn on rain or snow notifications for your current location, tap the lever for “My location” so that it turns green. If you have other locations saved in the Weather app, you can also turn on notifications for these places if you want.
And that’s all there is to it. No more surprise bathrooms.
Now that you’ve turned on weather notifications, be sure to check out another hidden feature within the iPhone Weather app. We also have guides on how to get full screen caller ID in iOS 15 and how to record your iPhone screen.
