Masters of the Universe live-action movie has already found its He-Man | LevelUp

Netflix and Mattel Inc., are working on the development of a movie of Masters of the Universe, iconic franchise of toys and cartoons. That production will begin this year and the creative team has already found who will be their He-Man.

According to information from The Wrap, Kyle Allen, a young American actor, was chosen to play Prince Adam/He-Man in the live-action movie of Masters of the Universe. Allen is best known for his roles in productions such as West Side Story Y American Horror Story.

The companies also announced that the Nee brothers (The Lost City, Band of Robbers), will be in charge of directing the Masters of the Universe movie. They will also be responsible for his script with David Callaham (Shang-Shi Y Wonder Woman 1984).

The production of Masters of the Universe start sometime in the summer of 2022. That said, it is unknown when the launch window for this production could be.

An important point is that the live-action film of Masters of the Universe It has been cooking for more than 14 years. Originally the project belonged to Sony Pictures, but the company transferred the rights to Netflix, keeping only the distribution rights in China.
