Pokemon Legends: Arceus Trailer Showcases Hisuian Variants of Evolved Starters

Nintendo released a trailer for Pokémon Legends: Arceus on Tuesday that showcased the region-exclusive final evolutions for the game’s three starters: Rowlett, Cyndaquill, and Oshawott. The trailer stopped short of showing these new forms in action, but did state that players “might discover their evolved forms” in the final game.

Based on the trailer, the starters’ second forms appear to be identical to the ones that appear in the previous games. It appears that only the final shapes will vary from their original designs. The Pokémon Company also shared silhouettes of each final form on the official Legends: Arceus website.

While the trailer didn’t reveal much about the starters’ region-exclusive ways, leakers have apparently already done so. Physical copies of Pokémon Legends: Arceus were reportedly seen in the wild more than a week before the game’s release, and shortly after, the game’s full list of Pokémon was reportedly posted online. New forms for Decidueye, Typhlosion, and Samurrott were apparently discovered as part of the leaks.
