What happens is that the customer service department of 343 Industries confirmed to a player who has no way to recover lost EXP Boost. So if you used one and there were server issues that left you unable to play, you won’t be able to get your consumable back.

“While we do not have the ability to give or replace EXP boosts you lost during the server issues, we want to report that access to the Halo Infinite servers has been restored. If you are still having trouble joining games, please restart the game and try again,” 343 Industries said.

We remind you that Halo Infinite experience boosts give you double points for a certain amount of time. The time is effective no matter if you are in the game or not, so if you crash the game your bonus experience time will be over and you won’t be able to do anything.
