TAfter 128 games on the yellow bench, UD Las Palmas has made the decision to fire Pepe Mel. The defeat in Fuenlabrada was the trigger for the sports commission to take the step. During today there have been several conversations to define the team’s roadmap. The club has made it official a few minutes ago through a statement.

According to this statement, Mel will go to Barranco Seco next Tuesday to say goodbye to the staff. The coach from Madrid has been fired with the team just three points from the playoff spots.

Las Palmas is now looking for a coach. The best placed is Francisco Javier Garca Pimienta.
