Don’t mess with the girls from ‘The Boys’

Warning: The following contains SPOILERS for Boys Season 2 through episode seven.

With Stormfront joining The Seven on The Boys Season 2, Vought International’s PR team began spinning overtime, promoting the historic addition with a “Girls Get it Done” media tour to draw attention to the supergroup that has three female members for the first time.

Of course, the series presents this buzz as the kind of hollow money-stealing ploy that Vought specializes in. In addition to this, Stormfront is secretly a psychotic Nazi who is causing a xenophobic frenzy in the country to have Compound V. injected into adults for the purpose of creating an Aryan army of Supes. So maybe we don’t want this girl get anything done.

That said, biting satire aside, Boys has some wickedly cool female characters with various axes to grind, and as we near the end of Season 2, these women are on a mission. Some seek justice while others seek revenge, but don’t mess with all of them!

As we near the end of season 2, this is where things stand for several key female characters, all of whom probably agree on at least one thing: Stormfront sucks.

Who are you looking for: Vought International

Trying to take down Vought and The Seven is an almost impossible task, even when you have the inside track. Starlight’s big move, to reveal the existence of Compound V to the public, backfired in a big way when Stormfront used Kimiko’s brother Kenji to create a wave of racism and hate in the US that distracted the attention of the news.

But now Starlight and Hughie are on the same page and are both aware of Vought’s plans to stabilize Compound V in adults. In the wake of the House Committee massacre, what will Starlight’s next move be? Homelander has already labeled her a traitor, so now she’s on the run just like The Boys. He’s got a bone to pick with Homelander, Stormfront, and basically all of Vought. As a member of Butcher’s team now, will Starlight become the hero she has trained for all her life?

From a wild captive in a cage to a mourning sister caught in a fit of rage, the super-strong Kimiko had some rough stuff. She naturally wants to take down all of Vought like the rest of her team, but with Stormfront, things are ultra personal. Will Kimiko be able to act and not freeze the next time she sees the fascist Supe who brutally murdered her brother?

There is no doubt that Kimiko is a formidable force, of course. To mitigate his guilt, after his brother’s death, he began carrying out contact killings, ripping mobsters’ faces off with grotesque ease. Will he be able to tear Stormfront apart limb by limb if the situation arises? For the good of the world and for Kenji’s memory?

Carnicero Rebecca “Becca”

Who are you looking for: Homelander y Stormfront

Becca doesn’t possess any superhuman abilities, but after Homelander and Stormfront left with her son, Ryan, she became a mother possessed. She was already strong enough to refuse Butcher’s rescue, knowing that he never intended to stay or protect the child.

Clearly, Ryan is her number one priority over everything else and now, after trying to play nice with Homelander, pretending to be a “happy family” for the sake of her son’s safety, she has been betrayed and ostracized. And then there’s Homelander’s girlfriend, Stormfront, who’s just about ready to become Ryan’s “new mom.” Obviously this isn’t holding up, but what can Becca do? Whatever it is, it had better happen fast. You shouldn’t play with a mother’s love. Becca might be stronger than any of us think.

reina maeve

Who are you looking for: Homelander

How long can Maeve sit on the sidelines? Unlike the other women on this list, she has no real interest in taking down Vought or the group she belongs to, The Seven. However, she would like to dispatch and dethrone Homelander, her leader, who has been tormenting her for years, first forcing her to live a lie and now forcing her bisexuality out into the open on his terms, all the while cruelly controlling his relationship with Ellen.

Maeve’s attempt to blackmail Homelander, using The Deep to dig up footage in the ocean of the Season 1 plane she and Homelander abandoned, caught fire when Elena saw it and promptly dumped her. Now Maeve has hit an all-time low and her loyalty seems to be all over the place. After stepping up, stepping in, and saving Starlight from Black Noir (by poisoning her silent, deadly teammate with Almond Joy), can Maeve be counted on for the big fight ahead?

victoria neuman

Who are you looking for: Vought International

Congresswoman Victoria Neuman is taking huge risks on behalf of America. As a very public figure waging war against Vought and its crazed corruption, she’s placed a huge target on her back for any Supes with ties to the company who want to get her off the game board.

After the shocking and bloody massacre during the televised trial, which claimed the lives of dozens (including star witness Dr. Vogelbaum), Neuman’s head space is probably a whirlwind of fear and anxiety. Will he waver in his mission to topple Vought, having come so close to being eliminated, or will he now redouble his efforts to end Vought’s stranglehold on the country?
