During BlizzCon 2019, Blizzard announced with great fanfare Overwatch 2, the sequel to its successful hero shooter. Sadly, this competitive experience was delayed a few months ago and, as of this writing, still lacks a release window. Although the company did not explain the reasons that forced the release date to be moved, a producer finally ruled on the subject.
Through her Twitter account, Tracy Kennedy, producer of Overwatch 2, lashed out at Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard, and blamed him for the multiplayer shooter’s delay.
During a recent interview with the portal GamesBeat, Bobby Kotick assured that the delay of Overwatch 2 Y Diabloas well as the failure of Call of Duty: Vanguard, were the factors that caused Activision Blizzard’s shares to fall in recent months. Faced with these statements, Tracy Kennedy attacked the executive.
Who is to blame for the delay of Overwatch 2?
Through its Twitter account, the producer said that Kotick requested random projects from the team of the Overwatch original, which led to the developers having to work overtime. The problem is that apparently many of these projects were canceled and never saw the light of day, thus losing months of development for the sequel.
“Oh wait, that’s right, you hide behind scapegoats because you’re a coward, my mistake. The whole world will remember you as a greedy joke and there is nothing you can do about it to change it. We beat you and we beat you. Goodbye,” concluded Tracy Kennedy.
Oh wait that’s right you hide behind scapegoats because you’re a coward, my mistake. The entire world will remember you to be a greedy joke, and there’s nothing you can do to change that. We outlasted you and we won. Byeee 👋

It remains to be seen if Microsoft’s recent purchase of Activision Blizzard will in any way accelerate the development of Overwatch 2. In any case, we doubt that a change will come soon, because we must remember that Bobby Kotick will remain in his position until 2023, the date on which the acquisition will take place.
But tell us, what do you think of this situation? Let us read you in the comments.
