Rockstar Games and publisher Take-Two announced in June 2020, when the first video games in development for PlayStation 5 were shown at a Sony event, that Grand Theft Auto V Y Grand Theft Auto Online give it to tendrn remastered for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The premiere was scheduled for end of 2021, but was delayed until March 2022. According to a dataminer specialized in Rockstar games, the company will announce another delay, although this time shorter: until April or May.
From GamingBolt they echo the comments on Twitter of the aforementioned dataminer, @Matheusbr9895_, who claims to have received some information about the title, which he calls Grand Theft Auto V: Expanded y Enhanced (extended and improved). He assures that the development of this second remastering is being complicated. “For the moment [la fecha de lanzamiento] it’s still in march, but there is high chance of being postponed until April/May,” he adds.
Hope the Dev’s catch up, let’s keep an eye on it!— Matheusvictorbr- (@Matheusbr9895_) January 15, 2022
The same source says that Rockstar Games publish “soon” an article reporting on this situation, although as we always tell you with the information coming from dataminers e insiders, we recommend you take this data with tweezers. Responding to other users of the social network, the dataminer argues that the project size has grown during development and rebuilding the graphics engine is taking longer of the expected.
This is the second time the game has been remastered.
Grand Theft Auto V was launched in September of 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and just over a year later Rockstar remastered the game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In spring 2015 it hit computers around the world. The developer has been focused on expanding GTA: Online, which at the end of 2021 received The Contract, an adventure whose story narrates what has happened to some of the characters in the single-player adventure years after the adventure. Regarding the expected GTA 6, there is talk of being announced this year, but that will come later.
