A PlayStation 5 version of Apex Legends could be coming soon

PlayStation 5 users may not have to wait much longer for a native version of apex legends, according to file information found on PSN.

According to the size of PlayStationWhile checking for updates on PSN, a PS5 entry was found with a download size of over 80GB with no update.

This could mean that a PS5 version of the game is imminent, and it also means that you can probably expect the Xbox Series X/S version to arrive around the same time, if not on the same day.

The game is already backwards compatible with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, but a native version would be nice, as the consoles have faster load times, higher resolutions, and better frame rates.

Respawn has said in the past that a next-gen version of the shooter was in the works, and EA confirmed this as well. Additionally, cross-play between game platforms is also being worked on, so maybe that nice little feature will be released alongside the next-gen versions. you never know

The internet seems to think that Season 12 is when the native versions might drop. A release date for the season has not been confirmed yet, but based on the current battle pass, Season 11 is expected to end around February 8. So it could be very soon.
