Pokémon Go Field Research Missions | List of missions and rewards for January 2022

in the world of pokemon ir, One thing you should constantly keep an eye on is the ever-rotating list of Field research missions, in addition to the rewards for those missions. This page aims to help you stay on top of things by listing all the current missions for January 2022.

When we talk about research in Pokémon Go, there are two types to understand. Field Research Tasks are randomly chosen missions, with missions and rewards that change based on the month, season, and current events. Completing them can lead to research breakthroughs that provide more unique rewards that also change over time. Meanwhile, Special Investigations are preset quest chains based on stories delivered by Professor Willow from time to time.

In this page:

How Pokémon Go Field Research Missions Work and Their Rewards

Field research missions they’re essentially little mini-quests the game gives you when you spin Pokestops, and sometimes randomly from time to time. Each PokeStop is assigned a specific field research mission each day, and while you can complete a mission more than once per day, you will only be able to choose the same mission from any PokeStop. The rewards vary by mission and are listed below.

You can complete as many or as few field research missions as you like, but you will want to try to complete at least one mission per day to work on your research breakthrough. The missions encompass all aspects of Pokemon Go and, in a sense, exist for players to experience all aspects of the game. Field research missions may ask you to fight a raid, fight in a gym, hatch Pokémon eggs, catch certain types of Pokémon, or even spin Pokestops, and these are just a few examples.

Sometimes a task will reward you with items, but other times you will be rewarded with a rare Pokémon encounter – Field Research tasks are the only way to find and catch Spinda, for example. These encounters are also very useful as Pokémon found this way cannot run away..

The missions and rewards on offer rotate monthly for the most part, which means that at the end of a month, Niantic will withdraw the missions and rewards and replace them with new ones. Here are the current missions and rewards:

Pokémon Go Field Research List: January 2022 Rewards and Quests

Each month brings a different set of events with different objectives, and we will keep this page updated with any current set of missions. Here are the missions that you will find in your Field research checklist during January 2022, but remember that these missions are assigned randomly, so you see that it is completely coincidental.

Field Research Trailers and Stamps Explained

As you can see from the field mission screen within Pokemon Go, there is a series of stamps that add up to seven stamps. You can only earn one stamp per day, even if you complete multiple missions, so basically this stamp series is designed to last for a week. When you reach the seventh marked day you will unlock a Research progress, represented on the screen by Professor Willow’s large wrapped package.

Exactly what will be inside these packs varies from month to month along with other research bonuses and rewards, including the chance of an evolution item from Sinnoh or Unova Stone being dropped. On top of that, each month this ‘research trailer’ features a Pokémon encounter. You also have an unlimited number of attempts to catch them, since Pokémon found this way cannot run away. As long as you have patience and Pokéballs, you can keep trying until you catch them.

This is a great place to practice how to do excellent curveball throws and throws in Pokemon Go, too. Pokémon caught this way will also have naturally high stats, the same kind of stats you can find on Pokémon found as part of raid battles. All in all, this is a great way to catch rare Pokemon.

The reward for January 2022 is an encounter with Onix. In addition to encountering Pokémon, each Research Advance will earn you Stardust, XP, and a random amount of other items, including the chance to obtain an evolution item from Sinnoh Stone or Unova Stone.
