Pokémon GO remains one of the most popular games in the industry. It is a huge phenomenon that to date has thousands of people hooked. Unfortunately, there are some guys who are such fans that they prefer to ignore their responsibilities in order to catch a Pokémon that they have been looking for for a long time.
It may be hard to believe, but that happened recently in California, United States. Those accused of ignoring their duty to play were a couple of police officers who were officially fired today from the Los Angeles Police Department.
It all happened on Saturday April 15, 2017It was a busier morning than the police would have wanted. This to the degree that there were more crimes than patrols capable of responding to them.

Therefore, it was especially curious that a patrol did not seem to be attending to the needs of the population. Especially when a robbery was reported to which they did not respond. This led to them checking the patrol’s audio recording system and discovering that officers were going from one side of the city to the other to capture creatures like Snorlax and Togetic.
“For about the next 20 minutes the DICVS (car recording system) captured the [oficiales] arguing about Pokémon while driving to different locations where virtual creatures apparently appeared on their phones, ”notes a report on the appeal of punishment to officers.

For their part, the accused officers denied having been playing Pokémon GO and they assured that they were only talking about the game. His justification is that one of the officers was in a group of Pokémon GO where people “showed off their scores.”

While both officers appealed the decision, that did little to no avail and they ended up jobless. This is because the Los Angeles Police Department determined that they were lying in their testimony, in addition to the fact that in the past they had ignored their colleagues and superiors.
