Ubisoft announced today that the two DLC missions in Far Cry 6 featuring previously retired Hollywood icon Danny Trejo are back and in full form, adding to the content-rich first-person open-world shooter game.
Today, the free update allows players to join Trejo on two sequential missions. “Danny & Dani vs. Everybody ”is a new Yaran story where“ players must stop Antón Castillo’s forces from blowing up Danny’s plan to come to Yara to make his world-famous tasty tacos to feed the hungry ”. Then, in the sixth and final Special Operation, “Malagua,” “Trejo returns a favor by joining the players to help the students protesting Antón’s army, which is deploying the chemical weapon (PG-240X) in Yara ”. Players also have access to the Danny Trejo bundle, which includes themed gear, Trejo’s exclusive outfit, and the taco truck from missions.
While the DLC got off to a bit of a wrong start, it’s ultimately good that it was pulled and republished when completed. It’s unfortunate that it was released incompletely, as it left a bad impression on a game that was already being criticized for being fun but superficial. Along the same lines, the developers interviewed in the run-up to the game’s launch didn’t seem to be able to decide whether the game was political or not. Regardless, its first paid DLC, Vaas: Insanity, arrived last month more fully.
It’s also worth remembering that Ubisoft is still engulfed in a cloud of accusations of sexism and workplace harassment.
Far Cry 6 is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PC, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna.
