Benzema starts the year in style. He does so by reaching the historic peak of the 300 goals at Rea Madrid. A scoring mountain that until today had only climbed Cristiano Ronaldo, Ral y Di Stfano. Karim becomes the fourth player to conquer the legendary scoring peak at the age of 34 and after 13 seasons as a Real Madrid player. An achievement that reinforces his status as the absolute legend of the white team.

His goal to Valencia from a penalty includes him in the select club of Los 300 goals for Real Madrid after four seasons in which he has been unleashed as a scorer. In two of them he reached the barrier of 30 goals and in the current campaign he is on the way not only to reach it again, but to pulverize his best scoring record with Real Madrid: the 32 goals from 11-12.

With the 300 goals scored, Benzema begins the countdown to hunt down Di Stfano and become the third top scorer in the history of Real Madrid. Cristiano (451), Ral (323) and Di Stfano (308) occupy a podium of gunners who, at this rate, will soon have a new tenant in the French figure. In the League, Benzema has 208 goals and ahead he also has only Di Stfano (216), Ral (228) and Cristiano (312).

Centennial record

To score his first 100 goals for white, Benzema tard 5 years and five months. He made his debut on August 29, 2009 and was a centenary on January 18, 2014 against Betis. On November 7, 2018, against Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League, Benzema reached 200 goals for Real Madrid (specifically 201 after his double that night). Four years and 10 months late for that second centenary. Now only three years and two months After reaching 200, Karim has reached the historic barrier of 300 points as a Madrid player.

Benzema wears 402 goals in his professional career (300 with Real Madrid, 66 with Olympique Lyon and 36 with France) and is the second French player who has scored the most goals throughout his career, only surpassed by Thierry Henry, with 411.

At 34, far from losing punch, Benzema is going higher in his scoring figures. And it is that the white striker is three months ahead of his scorers last season. Karim has already signed 21 goals between the League and the Champions League, a figure that in 20-21 did not reach until March 16 against Atalanta.
