Upcoming South Park game features developers from Bioshock and Dishonored

In the summer of 2021 we learned of the existence of a new game of South Park, although details of it did not transcend: neither title, nor launch date nor the development study involved. A job offer detected by ComingSoon has revealed the latter. The North American Study Question Games, made up of developers who have worked on blockbusters such as Bioshock and the South Park by Ubisoft, are responsible for the project.

“Question is made up of ancient developers [de juegos] AAA whose past credits include: Thief: Deadly Shadows, Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Bioshock Infinite, Dishonored, South Park: The Stick of Truth Y South Park: The Fractured But Whole“, you can read in the Lead Level Designer job listing, where it is also confirmed that the title is being developed with Unreal Engine 4.

“We have a long history of games focused on powerful narratives and in systems that allow freedom to the player with the goal of trying to create new experiences along the same lines, but at smaller scale“They explain from the independent studio with offices in California and Virginia.” Our goal as a development studio is to invest in people who grow together as a team, getting stronger with each project. “

Question Games has two titles published. In 2019 they launched The Blackout Club, a game of first person horror with cooperative mode that leads a group of teenagers to investigate a mystery that hides more than meets the eye. More experimental was his first game, The Magic Circle (2015), a game of first person puzzles where the protagonist of an unfinished fantasy game is controlled.

Be a three-dimensional game

The existence of the new game of South Park came to light by the agreement that the creators of the series, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, signed with ViacomCBS to create new episodes, movies, and other products for Comedy Central and the Paramount + subscription service. Among those projects was mentioned a “three-dimensional video game”, without further details.
