SNK continues to prepare for the premiere of The King of Fighters XV, scheduled for early this year. The company has not finished revealing the fighters of the initial squad and today it has just confirmed the return of one of the most popular young women in the franchise, the innocent and elegant Ice Doll.

That’s right, we are talking about Kula Diamond, the young fighter characterized by her ability with ice. SNK had let many months go by without revealing Kula, but it was expected that sooner or later it would be announced, since it has been in practically every installment of the series since its debut, in The King of Fighters 2000.

SNK finally shared the reveal trailer for Kula and it confirms the return of the fighter, who presents an identical appearance to the one she had in the previous title of the series. The gameplay trailer also reveals that Kula will retain her powers and her iconic moves and combos. However, something that caught your attention is that he will have a new attack that will allow him to summon snowmen that will fall at his opponents.

Kula will reunite with his former teammates from Team NESTS

Also, apparently in the trailer, this time it was K ‘who decided to leave his team with Maxima (Team K’) out and replace her with Whip, stating that there is no need to worry about her anymore.

As we told you, Kula was expected to re-team with Mexican fighter Angel (who was left without a team after the disappearance of Team Mexico) and Krohnen. This team was known as Team NESTS, which debuted in The King of Fighters 2001, but this time it will be called Team Krohnen, one of the “new” characters in the next installment.

This last fighter is very interesting, as the clues indicate that he is the current version of K9999, a former NESTS member (Kyo Kusanagi clone). In case you don’t know, SNK is believed to be banned from this character returning in a new game or explicitly referring to him due to a legal issue with his name, after he lost his rights to him. Krohnen was not confirmed to be K9999, but the community manager suggested so.

Next we leave you with the Kula Diamond gameplay trailer.

In case you missed it: PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players were already able to play the Beta of The King of Fighters XV.
