Konami Celebrates 35 Years of Castlevania with NFT Auction of the Saga | Levelup

NFTs are in fashion and their arrival in video games is increasingly real. Konami does not want to be left out of this trend, so it will take advantage of the 35th anniversary of Castlevania to fully enter the non-fungible token market.

This morning he revealed an exclusive NFT collection called Castlevania Memorial NFT that is aimed at fans of the franchise. The non-fungible tokens of the series will be available for sale as part of a special anniversary auction that will begin very soon.

This will give players the opportunity to bid on a portion of various games in the franchise in the form of scenes, music, or newly designed new art.

Konami enters the NFTs with a collection of Castlevania

Everything indicates that Konami plans several NFT collections of its popular saga, so Castlevania Memorial NFT would be only the first proposal of this initiative. The auction, open to players from various regions, will begin on January 12.

The company will offer non-fungible tokens with content from Castlevania original, Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse Y Castlevania: Circle of the Moon. Those interested in the auction must have an account at the official page of the project.

In addition, they must also have a cryptocurrency account (Ethereum) and prepare their wallet to participate. The highest bidder in each auction will win the NFT and have the right to resell it at a later time.

“This is an initiative to create artistic NFTs using the beloved scenes from Konami titles, and for our fans to keep them for many years. The purchase of Konami Memorial NFT does not give them any intellectual property rights (copyrights, trademarks, etc.), ”the study commented.

These first NFT sales will take place on the site OpenSea, from where it is already possible to see the details of each item that will be auctioned in the coming days. Konami has yet to reveal its plans to launch another themed collection of non-fungible tokens.
