Bethesda Announces New Online Chapter Of The Elder Scrolls And Global Reveal Event

Following yesterday’s sea storm teaser, Bethesda has released another longer teaser for The Elder Scrolls Online. However, the new video comes with concrete information. First, the reason for all this fuss is that a new Chapter is on the way. Second, the new Chapter will be revealed during a Global Reveal Event starting at 3pm ET on Thursday, January 27. In the meantime, fans will only have to search the 1 minute and 3 second video for clues as to where the new Chapter could take place, what kind of story arc it will have, and how it might tie into the long-awaited The Elder Scrolls VI.

This cleanup already started yesterday, and the mere mention of the storms and the sea was enough to make fans assume that the Maormer sea elves will be involved in some way. There is no Maormer in the new video, but much more sea, in which we see several powerful-looking ships. So now fans are looking forward to captaining their own ship in the next Chapter. It seems doable.

As for where the next Chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online will take place, some fans believe that Yokuda, which is an archipelago west of the continent of Tamriel. Or at least that era. Others have argued that it can’t be Yokuda because Yokuda actually sank into the ocean long before The Elder Scrolls Online took place. Another reasonable bet seems to be Highrock, which is a peninsula and therefore almost as ready for maritime adventure as an archipelago. There is also literally a very tall stone in the video. Fortunately, we just have to wait until January 27 for these questions to be answered.
