The graphics card market has not had a good time for months due to shortages and cryptocurrency mining. That does not prevent companies like Nvidia from being willing to continue launching products and the clearest proof we have is that they just announced new graphics cards at CES 2022.

The first model that Nvidia announced is the RTX 3050. It is the most economical model in its latest family of graphics cards, offering the best benefits of Nvidia’s Ampere architecture, but at a more affordable price.

In case you missed it: A truckload of RTX cards is stolen; you could have problems if you buy one of them

What does the last thing mean? That the RTX 3050 cards come equipped with the RT Cores to present raytracing and with the third generation Tensor Cores compatible with DLSS and other artificial intelligence technologies.

Here are the technical characteristics of the RTX 3050:

  • 9 TLOPS
  • 18 RT TLOPS
  • 73 Tensor TFLOPS
  • 8 GB DDR6
Features of the RTX 3050

According to Nvidia, all of the above translate to performance above 60fps in games like Marvel Guardians of The Galaxy, DOOM Eternal Y Control with ray tracing and DLSS enabled.

An important point is that the RTX 3050 will be supported by Nvidia technologies such as Reflex to minimize latency; the Nvidia Broadcast App to feature AI voice and video enhancements; Nvidia Encoder for higher quality streaming; Nvidia Studio to accelerate creative applications, as well as the company’s game drivers.

The Nvidia RTX 3050 will go on sale on January 27 globally and will cost $ 249 USD. Unfortunately, getting one is expected to be difficult because of cryptocurrency hoarders and miners.
