However, the film has suffered several delays and, sadly, one more was confirmed.

One more delay for Morbius, but it won’t take that long to release

2022 started with a bad and a good one for fans of superhero cinema as a new delay was revealed for the film Morbius, which has Jared Leto in the role of Dr. Michael Morbius who suffers from a blood disease and an attempted cure transforms him into a vampire creature. The bad news is the delay, but the good news is that it won’t be that long for fans to see Morbius in the cinema since its premiere went from January 28 of this year to April 1.

The information was revealed by Variety and points out that the objective of Sony Pictures is not to put at risk the period that the Box Office counts, that is, the premiere, because this month is shaping up in a bad way for movie theaters given the increase in infections of the Covid variant Ómicron -19 in major markets.

Sony’s expectation is that by March and April of this year the number of infections will have been reduced and this will allow Morbius have a successful opening at the box office.
