In other words: Grubb says Nintendo gave Microsoft permission to relaunch GoldenEye 007 in exchange for being able to launch some of the Nintendo 64 games developed by Rare on Nintendo Switch Online.

Why does Xbox want to relaunch GoldenEye 007?

Now the question is, why does Xbox want to relaunch GoldenEye 007? For Grubb, the reason is simple: It’s a good way to fill a gap in his release schedule, especially during the first half of the year.

According to the journalist, the important Xbox launches for these first months are S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 and version 1.0 of Grounded. So the idea is to launch GoldenEye 007 as a product that cheers up fans for a while as the shower of releases arrives with Redfall (summer), the new Forza Motorsport (autumn) and Starfield (November).
