2021 ends and it is a good time to review what the year has left us in terms of video games. Nintendo has published a video in which they are revealed the most successful indie games on Nintendo Switch this year; many of them are no surprise, like Spelunky 2, the Subnautica, Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! The Axiom Verge 2, but we can find some surprises that have not been talked about so much in the last twelve months -despite their quality-, case of Unpacking, Ender Lilies, Stick Fight: The Game Y Eastward.
The video does not put figures and it does not confirm if there is some type of specific order – for example, from more to less sold. The games that appear in the montage are the following:
- Cyber Shadow
- Tetris Effect: Connected
- Stick Fight: The Game
- Curse of the Dead Gods
- Ender Lilies
- Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!
- Spelunky 2
- Road 96
- Subnautica/Subnautica: Below Zero
- Islanders Console Edition
- Slime Rancher: Plortable Edition
- Axiom Verge 2
As you can see, there are games for all tastes. Slime Rancher shows that you have a lot of pull on the Nintendo console and Axiom Verge 2 builds on the success of the original game.
