Nintendo reveals the best-selling indie Switch games of 2021

As the year progresses, Nintendo reveals the 15 best-selling indie games on the Switch platform, so those who haven’t already can check out.

Without a doubt, the Nintendo switch It is still one of the most popular gaming platforms on the market. With two iterations since launch, the Switch Lite and the Switch OLED, it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere anytime soon. Many have expected a “second generation” of Switch consoles, but it is clear that Nintendo is in no rush, as it remains competitive even between the generation of PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Exclusives not only sell well on Switch, but so do many third-party games. In fact, it is sometimes the best place to play them. It’s also sometimes the best place to play hit indies, so it’s fitting that Nintendo has revealed the best-selling Indie games on its Switch platform.

It should be noted that these titles are not “ranked” in any way, so what exactly was THE best-selling indie game on the platform is unknown. Nonetheless, many Indie fans would go to bat for these games as they all push the idea and the medium. Below is the full video from Nintendo, and we’ve listed all the indie games in alphabetical order below.

  • Axiom Verge 2
  • Curse of the dead gods
  • Cyber shadow
  • Doki Doki Plus Literature Club!
  • To the east
  • Ender’s Lilies: Quietus of the Knights
  • Islanders Console Edition

  • Highway 96
  • Slime Rancher: Pop-up Edition
  • Spelunky 2
  • Stick Fight: The Game
  • Subnautica + Subnautica: below zero
  • Tetris effect: Connected
  • Unpacking

It’s no wonder that many of these games receive more than the standard fanfare Indie games typically receive, with Lilies of ender Y Unpacking still some of Game Rant’s picks for the best indie games of 2021. Overall, it’s a solid list with many of these worth playing (or replaying) for Indie fans. Since it is currently the end of the year, Nintendo is also far from the only company to reflect on this year in games and take a look and analyze the popularity and sales.

For example, Steam has also taken a look at the hottest and best-selling games on the horizon, and it may come as a surprise to some who Cyberpunk 2077 is among these titles. Many will never forget his disastrous launch, but it should be noted that the tables seem to be slowing the spin of the game, as more and more meet him for the first time.

Perhaps the best part of the year ending, however, is a new beginning, at least in the games industry. There are a ton of AAA games for PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch on the horizon, and it will be interesting to see which Indies dominate the charts next year as well.
