After weeks of rumors, Team Liquid has officially confirmed the addition of French veteran Richard “Shox” Papillon to its team of CS:GO.
A couple of days ago, the organization also announced that Joshua “oSee” Ohm, Extra Salt’s AWP, would be joining their lineup. Now, Team Liquid has only one position to fill on its 2022 roster, and reports say Nicholas “Nitr0” Cannella could return to action with his former team.
Shox is one of the most revered players on the French scene of CS:GO. He has played on some of the most impressive teams in his native scene, including Vitality, G2, Titan, and Envy. In 2014, he scored a major win with LDLC at DreamHack Winter 2014 by beating then reigning NiP champions.

Playing in North America will be a new challenge for Shox. It is the first time that he has left the French scene and joined an international squad in his long and illustrious career. The player recently left Team Vitality, where he was a fundamental member and complementary piece of both that team’s success and the rise of superstar Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut.
While Liquid still has a vacant spot on their roster, they are also trying to replace 3 inactive players. The team announced last week that Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, Jake “Stewie2K” Yip and Michael “Grim” Wince would be benched, confirming rumors that this trio of players would be parting ways with the organization.
Shox will join oSee, Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski and Keith “NAF” Markovic in Team Liquid’s starting lineup for 2022.
