A newly released trailer for the upcoming Disney + show, The Boba Fett Book, He taunts “master assassin” Fennec Shand by working alongside Boba on Tatooine. A spin-off of the popular Star Wars show, The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett Follow the infamous bounty hunter as he seizes territory once controlled by Jabba the Hutt. Created by Star Wars Veterans Dave Filoni, Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy and Robert Rodriguez, the show sees lead actors Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen reprising their roles as Boba and Fennec.
Fennec did it Star Wars debut in season 1, episode 5, of The mandalorian, “The gunman.” In the episode, she is sought out by Din Djarin and an opportunistic bounty hunter, Toro Calican, the latter of whom shoots her and apparently leaves her for dead in the Tatooine desert. However, season 2 of The mandalorian reveals that Fennec was actually saved by Boba and that some parts of her body were replaced by cybernetics. Now forever indebted to him, Fennec is Boba’s new partner and helps him conquer Tatooine and the remnants of the Hutt cartels. Before The mandalorian Fennec made her first chronological appearance as a formidable bounty hunter in the animated series. With the premiere of The Boba Fett Book fast approaching, Star Wars He recently released a trailer that further hints at Fennec’s role on the show. In the video, a voiceover refers to Fennec as a “murderous teacher” and shows her confronting what presumably she and Boba’s enemies are through the perspective of her helmet. The show’s creators have hinted that The Boba Fett Book will be a darker and braver version of the criminal underworld of the Star Wars universe, with Wen having explained in a recent interview that the series will be “more like a version of gangster movies,Instead of the classic Westerns that inspired the original movies. It certainly appears that Fennec’s character will take a darker path in the show’s first season, with the leading-edge assassin apparently acting as Boba’s advisor and executioner. In an earlier trailer released by Lucasfilm, Fennec is heard telling Boba to “watch out for everyone,” as the trust between Boba and the Tatooine cartel bosses is fragile after Bib Fortuna’s death. Perhaps Fennec’s new nickname of Master Assassin makes fun of a much more bloodthirsty and vicious version of the character compared to her before. Star Wars appearances.
For now, it’s hard to know what exactly fans of Boba Fett’s book, with the post-empire criminal underworld being a relatively unexplored concept in the Star Wars film universe. It will be interesting to see which direction the showmakers choose to go with Fennec and if she will remain loyal to Boba after he takes the throne from Jabba. For now, fans can expect to see the first episode of Boba Fett’s book, which is available to stream on Disney + starting December 29.
