Dark Life: Excalibur Awarded Best Game of the Year at PlayStation Talents 2021

This week the gala of the eighth edition of the PlayStation Awards, some awards with which PlayStation Spain recognizes the projects that are presented to the program PS Talents to support national development. During the broadcast, hosted by the illusionist Jorge Luengo and Alba Horcajuelo, content creator and reporter for Conexin PlayStation, we were able to see the award winners in the 2021 edition.

During the announcement of the PlayStation 2021 Awards, more than 100 requests with projects of developers who want a place in this program. Of all of them, only 13 nominees in various categories went to the final, which were revealed during the gala in which well-known faces such as Shuhei Yoshida, Enrique Gato, Jordi Wild, Elesky, Rafael Gordillo or Rubn Martn also participated.

Winners of the PlayStation Awards 2021

Among the eight categories there is one that stands out, that of Best Game of the Year: this award went to him Dark Life: Excalibur, developed by ZERO Studios, which also won the Best Press Game award from Fran G. Matas and Sara Borondo, members of Vandal’s staff. The creators of this winning project will receive a cash prize of 10,000 euros, a next-generation laptop Z by HP, a space at any PlayStation Games Camp headquarters for 10 months to work on project development, support and mentoring for PlayStation and Lanzadera, along with a communication and marketing campaign.

  • In addition to these awards, there was additional recognition for Moonatic Studios, from PlayStation Talents Games Camp, who with their video game One Last Breath received the Mencin Especial Forever Green, awarded by the initiative of the Real Betis Balompi Foundation.
