Boba Fett Episode 1 Second Half Has A Massive Spoiler

The Book of Boba Fett director Robert Rodriguez says the trailers cannot show anything from the second half of episode 1 to preserve spoilers.

The second half of The Boba Fett Book Episode 1 contains a massive spoiler. After the fan-favorite bounty hunter made his long-awaited live-action return on The mandalorian Season 2, the character is set to headline his own spinoff show. The Boba Fett Book sees Temuera Morrison reprise the title role, along with Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand. Picking up from the Mandaloriano In the post-credits scene from season 2, the new show sees Boba trying to rule the criminal underworld of Tatooine, filling the void left by the late Jabba the Hutt.

Lucasfilm has spent the last few months promoting The Boba Fett Book, releasing a series of images, posters and trailers to build excitement for the latest Star Wars draft. While these marketing materials have done a good job of outlining the basic story, the public knows that Lucasfilm is famous for its high levels of secrecy. Often times, study advances are designed to preserve any major revelations or twists. As it turns out, The Boba Fett Book he is no stranger to that strategy.

Talking with THR before The Boba Fett Book premiere, director Robert Rodriguez explained why the show’s trailers have been limited in terms of footage they’ve used. According to him, anything after the initial half of the first episode constitutes a big spoiler:

“We can’t use the second half of the first episode because it reveals so much. Things appear that you did not expect, you see things that we could not believe we had to do. Each episode has great surprises. “

Previously, Morrison was shy when asked about Star Wars cameos in The Boba Fett Book, just saying there was “Colorful things to look forward to.” It will be interesting to see what happens in the first episode, as it looks like there will be a lot of surprises from the beginning. This would be nothing new for Disney +. Star Wars shows. Lucasfilm kept Baby Yoda a secret throughout Mandaloriano marketing campaign from season 1 and did everything he could to keep Luke Skywalker Mandaloriano season 2 hidden return. The studio has a lot of experience with this type of marketing technique. Hopefully whatever the surprise is a worthy reward, as Rodríguez’s comments will fuel various theories.

Since much of The Boba Fett Book is intentionally kept secret, makes it difficult to assess what the surprise of episode 1 might be. Few could have predicted Baby Yoda in The mandalorian, so any number of possibilities could be plausible at this point. Given Boba’s history, some may speculate on the appearance of a legacy. Star Wars characters like Han Solo or Lando Calrissian, or perhaps faces returning from The mandalorian. Regardless, it seems that The Boba Fett Book will make several notable contributions to Star Wars canon over the course of its run, and whatever is in the premiere is just the beginning. This kind of teasing will only increase the anticipation for the show’s debut later this month.
