The 1990s saw the introduction, and in some cases the rise, of many mascots who sought to be the calling card of video game companies. The platforms in 2D and then in 3D, marked those years and there was a moment when the glorious Namco of that time did the same with Klonoa, a mascot that was a success in Japan but did not experience the same in the West. Next year, Klonoa It will be celebrating its 25th anniversary and it looks like Bandai Namco will celebrate it big.
Klonoa will be 25 years old. Will there be a celebration?
Last September we informed you about the registration made by Bandai Namco, which made the titles public Waffuu Encore Y 1&2 Encore. The first of them took a variant of the expression “Wahoo” characteristic of Klonoa, while the second made fans think that there would at least be a remastering of the 2 original installments: Klonoa: Door to Phantomile Y Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil, deliveries that debuted on PlayStation and PlayStation 2 respectively. Well, the hype about this possible return has reignited as Bandai Namco made the same record, but now in the UK.
It is expected that there will be remasters of the main installments of Klonoa
According to information from VGC, Bandai Namco registered in that market Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series, a title that has been considered as one that could have remastering of at least the 2 main installments of the franchise. The name is far from the Japanese registry that we talked about in the previous paragraph, but we must take into account that there are notable differences in Japan and the West with respect to Klonoa, because the mascot gave a lot to talk about in the Japanese market, not so in the Westerners.
In this way, the door is open for speculation and rumors, but also for hype for what could be a great celebration of Klonoa for his 25 years.
You played Klonoa? What did you think of its main installments?
