After implementing the preseason changes, Riot Games has shared their plans to League of Legends in 2022. According to lead game designer Bryan “CatchesAxes” Salvatore, the plan for next year includes adjustments for Ahri and Janna, as well as changes for various items and spells.
In the following season, Riot wants to continue monitoring the Chemtech Dragon to assess its overall impact on the game. Patch 12.1 will add some Seer Sprout plants in locations that will enhance the defending team’s experience in their own jungle.
Also, Janna and Ahri will get a little rework early next year. “They will have minor adjustments compared to the full Tahm Kench update, but will still be important like the recent Lucian update,” the study explained.

Another important fact is that Riot has already confirmed that the Teleport will be nerfed: in version 12.1, the spell will change significantly: before 14 minutes, the new Teleport will have a longer cooldown and can only target friendly turrets.
“We are also looking to make changes to some items for Fighters. In particular, Sterak’s Gauntlet has become a universal buy that eliminates the differences between thugs like Darius or Illaoi, and light fighters like Fiora or Irelia, ”said Riot.
Additionally, the studio is working on other items, such as Maw of Malmortius and Dance of Death, so that champions who do not use the Sterak Gauntlet have suitable alternatives. These changes will come in the first half of 2022.
Finally, Riot commented that currently the item and rune systems offer too much healing and sustenance, so there could be news in that section as well, but at the moment nothing is certain.
