Activision Blizzard promises major changes for 2022 | Levelup

Daniel Alegre, president and chief operating officer of Activision Blizzard, was in charge of contacting the company’s employees through an internal letter (which he later made public) to discuss diversity in the company and to reaffirm his commitment to improve this representation.

Plans for 2022 are to place more diversity, equity and inclusion leaders at Actvision Blizzard King and set annual diversity and performance goals, invest in learning and development to foster a culture of inclusion, mentoring and endorsement programs, and continue to evolve talent and the recruiting system.

Another detail that was touched on in the letter is the transparency that the employees want the company to have, as they believe it is necessary so that the company itself knows where to improve.

For this reason, Activision will begin to share and analyze information related to the diversity and gender of the employees in the company and will update it every quarter. For Activision, according to Alegre, diversity is just as important as innovation. Thus, the company aims to increase the number of women and non-binary people by 50% so that they make up more than 30% of the company’s employees.
