Isaiah Thomas dazzles in the G League … and earns a spot with the Lakers

Hyou pray after the base Isaiah Thomas will sign a spectacular debut in the G League, the Lakers have set their sights on the former NBA player to reinforce their battered squad.

Thomas, who had been planning a return to the NBA for some time, displayed much of the talent that made him shine in the league in his debut with the Grand Rapids Gold, the affiliate team of the Nuggets. Taking refuge in the ‘hardship exemption’, which allows signing players if a team has four or more players on the list of inactive for three games, the Lakers can undertake that signing because they have five players who are low by covid.
