It is important to note that the event was delayed for a couple of days. This was announced by community manager AndyB on the videogame forums, where he explained that “due to unforeseen circumstances” they had to move the start date. Although he did not disclose the reasons, it is possible that the demonstrations being carried out by some Activision Blizzard employees had something to do with it.

What can we expect from the Overwatch holiday event?

Through the social networks of the hero shooter, Blizzard confirmed that D.Va, Genji and Orisa were good children this year and will receive great legendary skins.

D.Va will take to the battlefield wearing an outfit that is reminiscent of the one Mrs. Claus wears, while her powerful mecha now looks like a kind of sled. On the other hand, the swordsman Genji will fight with an impressive armor of ice. Finally, Orisa turns into an adorable Santa Claus reindeer in her new Christmas skin.

All the previous outfits will be possible to unlock them in the loot boxes or through the in-game coins. As is tradition, players will also have the opportunity to get all the skins and other cosmetic items that debuted in previous years editions of the event.

Finally, everything seems to indicate that the Mei’s Snowball Offensive game mode will be back during the event.
