Weibo Gaming will open the doors to former World Champion Kang “TheShy” Seung-Rok for the 2022 competitive season of League of Legends.
The Korean top-laner spent more than 4 years with Invictus Gaming, winning the world championship in 2018. Now, he will have to prove his worth in a new organization.
At 22, TheShy is considered one of the biggest stars on the competitive scene, but the 2021 season turned out to be very challenging for him. During the summer split he contracted COVID-19, and for that reason he could only play 8 games.

As if that were not enough, his team could not qualify for Worlds 2021 and neither for the LPL playoffs. That was the first time the player was out of the playoffs since coming to IG.
TheShy replaces Chen “Bin” Ze-Bin, who left the team yesterday after 2 seasons. It’s unclear who Bin’s team will be for the 2022 season, but rumors suggest that Royal Never Give Up will be his new home.
The other 4 Weibo Gaming players, who were part of Suning before the organization changed its name, remain in limbo. It is not yet known if SofM, Angel, huanfeng and ON will remain on the roster for 2022.
