Pokémon Legends: Arceus is drawing the attention of fans of the franchise not only because it will introduce gameplay mechanics never seen before in the main series games, but also because it will introduce new forms of today’s Pokémon. The Pokémon Company just revealed one more and it’s for one of the Generation I creatures.
We are talking about the Pokémon Ball, Voltorb, which in Pokémon Legends: Arceus It will appear in its Hisui form as a Sphere Pokémon.
The differences go beyond this distinctive in the species category, because, as you can see in the images and in the trailer below, Husiu’s Voltorb will resemble the rustic Pokéballs that were used in ancient eras of the universe Pokémon and that they were made of wood and Apricorns. Not only does the Pokémon appear to be made of these same materials, it will also have a hole in the top of its head, like Hisui’s Poké Balls.

Hisui’s Voltorb will have a new type
In addition, Voltorb de Hisui is also an equally important change, since it will not only be electric, but it will have the Electric-Plant duality, which will give rise to other combat strategies, as it will have more weaknesses such as strengths. Of course, it will retain its explosion ability.
A detail that may go unnoticed by most, but that draws the attention of fans is that apparently this creature will have different shapes, at least 3, judging by the trailer at first glance. This means that Hisui Voltorb appears to be joining the group of Pumpbkaboo and Gourgeist, the only creatures whose specimens vary in size and reflected in the models within the games. However, there is also the possibility that the size change is a new mechanic that applies to all Pokémon according to their level, since apparently in other videos other Pokémon have different sizes.
According to the information, Hisui Voltorb has many seeds inside, but no one knows what is really inside him, because when you try to look through the hole in the top of his head, there is only darkness and when you see through it nothing is found.
In case you missed it: This Pokémon could also have a new version in Hisui and fans suspect that Wurmple as well.
Hisui Voltorb has a somewhat sad story
This new form takes away Voltorb’s angry appearance and rather gives him a surprised countenance and projects a more personable image.
However, he shares a mood-related problem, just like his normal version. The first details reveal that Hisui’s Voltorb is indeed very friendly and is even always in a good mood, but unfortunately when he gets excited he emits an electric shock that can electrocute those around him. Due to the danger that it can pose, Hisui Voltorb is not well seen within settlements in Hisui and there are even people who cover the hole of the Pokémon and throw it away from its places. Perhaps this rejection explains his natural evolution to the present-day Voltorb, who is angry.
Something you should know is that like most Pokémon with Hisui forms, this form was only announced for a single state of its evolutionary chain; that is, Hisui Electrode has not been confirmed so far, but it is likely that all these Pokémon also have their complete evolutionary chain modified, as well as Hisui’s Zorua and Zoroark.
What did you think of Hisui’s Voltorb design? Would you prefer this or the original version? Tell us in the comments.
