Take a look at the Moto Edge X30, the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phone

The Moto Edge X30 smartphone is scheduled to launch on December 9, and official teasers on social media have already revealed some specs.

Motorola It is set to launch its Edge X30 smartphone next week, and the company has already started teasing the device on social media, revealing critical specs. The Moto Edge X30 will become the first commercially available smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The device will be unveiled on December 9 before going on sale on December 15 at China.

Motorola is working on various smartphones for various market segments. The company has just released the entry-level Moto G Power (2022) with a MediaTek Helio G37 SoC, a 5,000 mAh battery and a 90 Hz HD + display. Furthermore, it plans to launch a new device with a 200MP camera, Although unverified leaks suggest that the upcoming Moto Edge X30 will not be the 200MP camera phone that is rumored.

Ahead of your Official inauguration next week, the Moto Edge X30 has been troubled extensively on Chinese social media by Lenovo-owned company. The latest trailers published by Motorola on its official Weibo account have revealed some of the display specifications of the upcoming device. According to the teasers, the X30 will feature a display with a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10 + certification, and 1 billion colors. The size and resolution of the screen remain an official secret, but previous leaks suggested that it will be a 6.67-inch panel with FullHD + resolution.

5,000 mAh battery with 68 W fast charge

Several leaked versions have also apparently revealed the rear design and camera setup of the upcoming phone. According to those leaks, the device will feature a triple camera module on the rear, led by a 50MP sensor (OmniVision OV50A) with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The other two cameras will include a 50MP ultra-wide shooter (Samsung JN1) and a 2MP depth sensor (OV02B1B). At the front, there will reportedly be a 60MP selfie camera housed within a centrally located drill hole, although the exact make and model of the sensor remains unclear. The device is also said to be running Android 12 out of the box and will reportedly receive at least two major OS updates.

Some of the other leaked specs of the Moto Edge 30 Ultra (aka Edge X30) include up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. However, the device is not expected to offer a microSD card slot for storage expansion. It is said to have a 5,000 mAh battery with an impressive 68 W fast charging support. However, it will not feature wireless charging or reverse charging. It’s expected to come with an IP52 rating, but it won’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is not known when Motorola It will launch the Edge X30 outside of China, but the leaks suggest that it will launch the Edge 30 Ultra in global markets.
