SEGA has released the poster of the movie Sonic 2 through the official Twitter account dedicated to the blue hedgehog. The poster with Sonic, Tails and Doctor Eggman is a preview of the first trailer we’ll see at The Game Awards 2021, the gala that takes place at dawn from Thursday to Friday. In the same event it will be shown something else dedicated to SEGA’s mascot: rumors point to the new game, Sonic Frontiers.

The film from Paramount Pictures hit theaters in the United States on April 8, 2022. So far we have only seen the teaser with ribbon logo directed by Jeff Fowler. Idris Elba (The Wire, Luther) pondr voz a Knuckles y Colleen O’Shaughnessey (Digimon) will do the same with Tails. Ben Schwartz and Jim Carrey will return to be Sonic and Doctor Eggman respectively.
The Game Awards 2021 will be held on December 10 from 2:00 to 5:00 Spanish peninsular time. At the event produced and presented by Geoff Keighley, we will meet the winners of Game of the Year and other categories according to the votes of more than 100 media outlets. In addition, we will know details of both announced games and others to be revealed at the gala.

Rumors of Sonic Frontiers: an open world adventure
Sonic’s other appearance at the gala will apparently be his new game, Sonic Frontiers, an ambitious adventure of the blue hedgehog that It is supposed to take place in an open world. In early November SEGA registered the game’s web domain, which was unnamed desvel in may of 2021. Sonic Team are in charge of the development.
