The Game Awards 2021 is a day away and all gamers are excited not only for the awards ceremony, but for the possible revelations that the event will include. One of the rumors is the presence of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, although the famous journalist Jeff Grubb believes that it will not happen.
A few weeks ago we informed you about a tweet made by the host and organizer of the ceremony, Geoff Keighley, where he wrote that he was honored that The Game Awards will feature the revelation of a project that has been worked on for 2 and a half years.
Thanks to this, the community thought that it was the new installment of The Legend of Zelda, a title that has practically the same time since it was announced. However, the renowned journalist stated in the last podcast of Nate the Hate who is not expecting to see the game at the event:
“I’m on the no side. The E3 trailer is actually too close, it’s too close … that game (Zelda: BOTW 2) is probably not coming until the end of next year, if it comes out in 2022, ”Grubb said.

In addition, he took the opportunity to talk about the mystery of the name of the long-awaited sequel, where he believes that Nintendo will keep it as long as it can so as not to reveal much of the plot, a situation that would be reason enough not to show it at The Game Awards:
“Look, I agree with you, because the way (Nintendo) has treated the game and the name, they have said that the name will reveal some of those secrets that the game keeps, so you don’t want to show it a year in advance. you’ll want to keep it closer to the actual release date, so it seems too early to give it an official title. “
Grubb expects no surprises from Nintendo
Speaking of possible announcements by Nintendo at the event, the journalist also doesn’t think it’s likely to see any of Metroid Prime (neither a remaster nor the new installment), or of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, although he claims that it would be the perfect time to do so.
On the other hand, Grubb reiterated that he is not sure that Nintendo will reveal any games at The Game Awards, and that the only possibility would be a preview of the next animated Mario movie.
