After a long wait, the premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home is already around the corner. Insomniac Games wanted to join the celebration and on December 10 will launch new costumes inspired by the Tom Holland film for Marvel’s Spider-Man. Although this is good news, a detail caused the discontent of a sector of the community.
As we told you, the suits will only arrive at Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, the exclusive version of PS5 that can be obtained by purchasing Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition. This means that, unfortunately, PS4 users will not be able to dress the superhero in the new outfits that are directly inspired by the ones the character wears in the most recent movie.

Unsurprisingly, older generation console gamers aren’t very happy with this controversial decision. There were those who claimed that the title originally debuted on PS4, so new bonus content should make its way to that version as well.
Faced with backlash from fans, Insomniac Games addressed the controversy and justified its stance.

Amid the controversy, a fan lashed out at the developers for the exclusivity of the outfits. In his tweet he explained that most gamers are on PlayStation 4 and that currently it is impossible to get a PS5.
The company responsible for the video game took advantage of the fan comment to defend its position and revealed the reasons why it made the difficult decision to exclude PS4 players.
