Halo Infinite chief designer promises progression fixes’ top of the list & #

Are you one of the millions of people who collected Infinite Halo multiplayer since it launched out of nowhere a few weeks ago? If so, you’ve probably also noticed the frankly icy pace at which you earn rewards and progress through the game’s (now controversial) Battle Pass.

Well rest assured – developer 343 Industries is working on it. Halo Infinite chief designer Jerry Hook has said he understands the community’s complaints and that fixing the progression will be at the forefront of development efforts in the coming weeks.

“Yeah, I’m still playing Halo and I feel everyone’s pain with the progression.” he said on twitter. “We will be back next week and this will be first on my list with the team.”

This follows comments from 343 Community Director Brian Jarrad over Thanksgiving weekend, who noticed: “Changes will take time and our priority this week is to give the team a well-deserved break for the holidays after a long final stretch.” Once staff return to work, community feedback will be addressed in new updates.

Halo Infinite’s first multiplayer season is Heroes of Reach, and 343’s introduction of a battle pass system is at the center of much criticism from the community.

Although changes have been made to the way progression works since launch (you now get at least 50XP per game, which means you can level up by playing 20 games even if you don’t meet the conditions for any of the other challenges), Players still lament the slow and fast pace at which he moves through the various levels of the pass.

These comments come after the game has received a large number of complaints from players who have been doing their best to progress through the Samurai-inspired Fractures: Tenrai event as well as the Season 1 Battle Pass.

Will these changes and alterations be fixed in time for the event and the rumored playlist in February 2022? Maybe.
