Capcom prepared several surprises to celebrate 25 years of Resident Evil. In addition to video games, the company partnered with Netflix to produce some adaptations and one of them was a live-action series of the franchise. We hadn’t heard from this production since the middle of this year, but today there is good news, as the first teaser was shared and it shows how scary one of the enemies of the games will look.

Despite the absence of news, Netflix is still working on the project and as shown today the first teaser of the series appeared, which is very short, but shows a zombie dog, an enemy that has appeared in several installments of the series and who is known for quickly approaching the player.

The teaser was shared by What’s on Netflix and reveals a black Doberman dog that, as it approaches, reveals that it has been affected by the zombie virus, which has modified a large part of its body.

When will this new series of Resident Evil?

Unfortunately, the teaser does not reveal much more about the characters, but something that is striking is that it concludes with what appears to be the production logo, which, apparently, will be somewhat minimalist and, so far, not It has a subtitle.

This series, as we mentioned, will be focused on the history of the Wesker family and will present 2 timelines. The only announced season will consist of 8 episodes, each one hour long. The bad news is that there is still no release date or window, but, if we take into account that the project was announced in 2020, it is possible that it will reach its debut in 2022.

We remind you that the most recent film production is Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, a live-action film based on the events of the original games. A few months ago he also debuted Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, a 4-episode series with CGI animation.

In case you missed it: a Mexican actress will appear in the new series of Resident Evil for Netlix.
