Resident Evil will have a live-action Netflix series that is completely independent of the CGI animation available on the service. Many want to see how this new production will turn out, which is why it attracted a lot of attention when its first teaser was shared yesterday. However, it appears that the announcement was not yet to be made, as the video was removed.

What happens is that, as reported PCGamesN, the video began to circulate on the Internet thanks to official Netflix channels. The video was quickly downloaded and retrieved by fans, who uploaded and endorsed it on other sites.

This whole situation has invited us to think that, in reality, the video was released much earlier than the marketing teams expected. Let’s remember that The Game Awards 2021 is just around the corner and it is not unreasonable to think that this short video was intended to be released at that event.
