OnePlus 10 Pro spec leak just gave two big updates

We’ve seen the OnePlus 10 Pro supposedly leaked in renders and a dummy unit, but now it seems the spec sheet has leaked as well. While most of the listed specs look identical to the excellent OnePlus 9 Pro, there are two possible updates that are worth noting.

The former is pretty obvious as the new OnePlus phone is expected to have the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor. But the leaked specs also show a slightly larger battery: 5,000 mAh compared to the 4,500 mAh power pack in the OnePlus 9 Pro. Considering how good the battery life was on this year’s phone, happily we will take a bigger power pack for more longevity.

This leak is courtesy of 91mobiles, in collaboration with OnLeaks. Considering the reliability of OnLeak, we’re willing to bet that this leak is pretty accurate. It all makes perfect sense too given how predictable OnePlus has become.

The leaked OnePlus 10 Pro specifications are as follows.

OnePlus 10 Pro Leaked Specs

Monitor 6.7-inch QHD +
Update frequency 120 Hz
UPC Snapdragon 8 Gen1
RAM 8 GB, 12 GB
Storage 128 GB, 256 GB
Rear cameras 48MP main telephoto, 50MP ultrawide, 8MP with 3.3x optical zoom
Frontal camera 32 megapixels
Battery 5000 mAh
Waterproof IP68

As you can see from the rumored specs, the OnePlus 10 Pro looks like a radical departure from the OnePlus 9 Pro. We certainly aren’t expecting anything groundbreaking, although OnePlus might still surprise us (as with the supposed 125W load).

We don’t know much about OnePlus 10 Pro cameras either. Given how much better the OnePlus 9 Pro was compared to all previous OnePlus phones, the 10 Pro could definitely have some photography tricks up its sleeve.

If you recall, the 8GB / 128GB OnePlus 9 Pro never materialized in the US, and OnePlus later canceled it due to chip shortages. It’s unclear if that will remain true this year, although the shortage is expected to continue well into 2022.

Rumors suggest that OnePlus could launch the new phone very soon, but exclusively in China. The rest of the world may have to wait until April to get their hands on the OnePlus 10 Pro, although that’s far from confirmed.

With the launch of the Galaxy S22 just around the corner, the competition for the best Android phones in early 2022 will likely be fierce. But if you’re looking for a new phone right now, the OnePlus 9 Pro is at an excellent sale. Check out our best Black Friday phone deals page for more information.
