Niantic released a very short trailer for a new season of Pokémon Go that will tie into the upcoming Legends: Arceus game. The next season is called Season of Heritage, and according to Niantic, the season will focus on “looking to the past for answers to help guide us into the future.”
No specific date was given for the Heritage Season. Instead, we got the nebula “coming soon.” Pokémon Legends: Arceus is scheduled to release on January 28, 2022, so it is highly likely that the Inheritance Season will come closer to that date.

The short trailer shows a painting of Sinnoh Mountain that is the centerpiece of many Legends pieces – the Arceus advertisement. The assumption is that the mountain will be the future Mount Coronet as seen in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
This new season may be Go’s way of bringing back Hispanic forms of older Pokémon. Hisui is the name of the ancient region that will one day become the Sinnoh region from the fourth generation of Pokémon games. The Hispanic forms are variant forms of Pokémon that existed in the Hispanic era, but for one reason or another have disappeared in modern times.
