The year is very close to its end and precisely in December it will be 1 year since the implementation of the thematic seasons in Pokémon GO. Thus, users have already experienced the Season of Celebration, the Season of Legends, the Season of Discovery and the Season of Mischief. One more will start very soon and will have the theme of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
On December 1, a new season will start in Pokémon GO and it will be the Legacy Season that will provide a look into the past in search of answers to questions such as what ties the history of places, people and Pokémon together, to guide the future of Pokémon GO.

Niantic shared a trailer that shows that the art of this new season is very similar to that of Pokémon Legends: Arceus. This, in conjunction with the theme, seems to confirm that it will be based on the new title of the franchise, which will debut on January 28, 2022. The Legacy Season will be available from December 1, 2021 until March 1, 2022 .
Niantic did not offer many details about the Legacy Season, but we hope it will reveal them as the season unfolds. We remind you that the Season of Mischief was announced with a Special Investigation whose steps were revealed as the season progressed; That said, apparently this time he will not do a similar investigation.
On the other hand, players are already speculating about the big surprises this season and the most interesting hypotheses are those that point to the possible debut of Arceus or even Shaymin, which were discovered in Sinnoh and that would be related to Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which takes place in the ancient Hisui region.
The Legacy Season will kick off with an Incense Day
Shortly after the start of the new season, an Incense Day will be held on December 5 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Swinub will be mainly attracted. If a Swinub is evolved into Mamoswine, it will know the exclusive Past Power attack.
Additionally, Ice and Ground-type Pokémon will appear, alternating by hour, first Ice and then Ground and so on. In Ice-type hours, Seel, Jynx, Sneasel, Snorunt, Snover, Vanillite, and Darumaka de Galar will appear. The latter will be rarer and, together with Vanillite, they will not be able to appear in shiny or variocolor form.

As for Earth-type hours, Onix, Cubone, Ryhorn, Wooper, Barboach, Phanpy, and Larvitar will appear. The latter will be rarer; all can appear in their shiny or variocolor form, except for Phanpy.

Niantic confirmed new world Tour and it will be from Johto
The good news did not end there, as Niantic in its plans related to the Legacy Season confirmed that it is preparing a new World Tour and, as suspected, it will be focused on Johto, the region in which they take place. Pokémon Gold & Silver, in Generation II of the series. No further details were offered, but it is expected to take place in February. We will keep you informed.
