Metroid Dread studio is working on an RPG for consoles and PC | LevelUp

MercurySteam, the Spanish studio, is currently on top of the world after being responsible for the development of Metroid Dread, one of the best games of 2021. The success has not made the company rest on its laurels and is already working on something new: a third-person RPG for consoles and PC.

Through a statement, 505 Games announced that it will be responsible for distributing and co-developing Project Iron. This is the code name for the new MercurySteam project, which has been described as a third-person action RPG.

An important point is that the project will be a completely new IP that will be owned by Digital Bros, parent company of 505 Games, and MercurySteam. We will have to see what the creators of Metroid Dread.
