Pokémon Shiny Diamond and Shimmering Pearl hides a secret from Legends: Arceus

Last week they went on the market Pokémon Shiny Diamond and Shimmering Pearl, two new remakes of the Nintendo franchise that, despite being quite continuous and keep almost all aspects of the original game in place, they also save some other secret that the gaming community is quickly finding. Specifically, the news that concerns us comes to us thanks to un easter egg discovered that it was not found in the Nintendo DS games and that it appears to be a clear reference next Leyendas Pokmon: Arceus that will come out in january 2022.

The hidden reference to Pokémon Legends: Arceus in Brilliant Diamond and Shimmering Pearl

If you were one of those who played Diamond and Pearl in their day, you will remember that in Canal City there is an ampla library full of books related to the myths and legends of the Sinnoh region, the place where this fourth generation is set. Well, in the new remakes many of the original texts of the library remain as is, except a book that contains multiple new lines which seems to be that it was not in its day ah.

The text we are talking about is in a book from the second floor from the library and titled “The Legend of the Sea”. Curiously, in the presentation of the book it is stated that this has been recently discovered and that its ancient letters were deciphered.

In the new text you can read the following:

“Once upon a time in the East Sea there was a Pokémon known as the prince. A brave human asked the Pokémon living in the sea to let them see the prince. Mantyke, Buizel, and a Quilfish with huge countries recognized the human’s bravery and They joined him. Together they set out in a boat on the sun-bathed sea, sailing through the ocean gate that stretched out over the waves. The news reached the prince’s ears, who went to meet the brave group at the Hollow of the Sea “.

This peculiar story does not appear to be related to any Brilliant Diamond and Shimmering Pearl events, so the gaming community has quickly begun to speculate that it is a hidden reference to the next game in the saga, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which as you know will be released January 28, 2022.

There is no place in the current games of Pokémon that until now has received the name of the Hollow of the Sea. On the other hand, that reference to “prncipe” it may be Manaphy, as it is also known as “the prince of the sea”. To a greater surprise, from IGN they have ensured that in the embargo of the analysis Brilliant Diamond and Shimmering Pearl it is explicitly forbidden to mention the content of the books in the Canal library, something very striking considering the discovery of this change with respect to the original games.

At the moment we do not know if this is or not a mini-preview of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, so we will have to keep waiting next year to see what Game Freak and Nintendo have in store for us with that new adventure.
