PS5 restocking is back at Sony Direct. An invite-only resupply began at 2 p.m. ET. If you did not receive an invite, Sony registration page it’s still live and taking records. It’s certainly worth leaving your info, as Sony Direct has gifted us with a number of drops in recent days. Plus, there could be more to come now that we’re firmly into Black Friday sale season.

News of this latest Sony Direct restock broke out last night when Sony started sending out email invitations. These emails were later posted on Twitter. If you have previously registered to receive an invitation, we recommend that you check your email account as you may have been selected.

PS5 Restock Time: Today’s invite-only PS5 restocking began at 2pm ET and will run until 7pm ET or while supplies last. Keep in mind, considering the overwhelming demand for the PS5, we definitely don’t expect this resupply to drag on into the evening.

A restocking for the general public could follow after the initial invite-only phase. In case there’s a public drop, it’s likely to happen around 5pm ET or so, but the last couple of Sony Direct restocks have shut down entirely. If a public fall occurs, you will be able to get the PS5 for $ 499 via this link o la PS5 Digital for $ 399 via this link.

With the Black Friday PS5 deals landing successfully, drastically lowering the price of many of the best PS5 games and accessories, now is the ideal time to get your hands on a next-gen console. If you have an invite, don’t miss this Sony Direct release.

We also expect to see additional PS5 restocks at a number of major retailers in the coming days. Be sure to bookmark our PS5 restock center and we’ll notify you with the latest updates as we get them.

To activate Sony Direct notifications, you will need to log into your account, click on “My Profile” and then click on the “edit” button on your profile page. You will then be redirected to a new account settings page. From that page, choose “notifications” in the left column and then make sure to opt in to receive news and special offers from Sony.

Note that this hack does not guarantee that you will receive an invite in time for the next PS5 installment, but it should increase your chances of future exclusive Sony Direct PS5 restocking events.

How to get a PS5 if you didn’t receive an invite

Usually after an invite-only PS5 restock, Sony tends to open its virtual queue to the general public. However, that is not always guaranteed as there have been cases where the retailer has been completely sold out.

If there are additional consoles, a restocking for the general public is likely after the invite-only event ends. (Usually an hour or two after the start of the original release.) Of course, you can bookmark our page and we’ll keep you updated on the latest PS5 restocking news from Sony Direct and major US retailers.

What to do once you are in the queue

Once you are in the virtual queue, you will be given an estimated wait time. All wait times vary and you will most likely have a message telling you that it will be “over an hour.” If that’s the case, don’t despair. Your status can change quickly and you may end up with a wait time that is shorter than estimated. (For example, after waiting 20 minutes at a previous PS5 resupply event, our time was reduced from “over an hour” to just 15 minutes.)

Also, you may need to resolve a captcha. This is a simple challenge / question to make sure you are not a bot and usually requires you to select a radio box. As a result, you’ll want to make sure your browser’s tab remains prominent, because if it doesn’t, you could lose your captcha challenge and lose your place in the queue.
