Former Sevilla player Quincy Promes, accused of attempted murder

El football player of the Spartak of Moscow, Quincy Promes, adds a new chapter to your record with justice. The ex of Sevilla and Ajax has been accused by the police of attempted murder and assault to his cousin. He was already arrested and interrogated in December of the previous year and now, the authorities have gone further and they will prosecute the dutch.

Apparently over the course of a family party in Abcoude, on the outskirts of Amsterdam, there would have been an argument between Promes and a cousin of hers. The ex sevillista would have stabbed his relative in the knee, who suffered serious damage and filed the corresponding complaint in November 2020. After the altercation, Promes, then Ajax player, was detained and interrogated, while the soccer player denied the accusations.

Now, almost a year later, the prosecutors in the case have decided to press charges against the player, 29 years old. Although there is no date for the court hearing, the broadcaster US has reported that Quincy Promes would face prison terms of between 24 to 42 months.

Amsterdam to Moscow

At the time of the incident, Promes belonged to the ranks of Ajax, although in February 2021 he was transferred to Spartak Moscow and signed until 2024. However, it remains to be seen how the Russian club will proceed after learning the formal accusations that its player faces.
