Call of Duty Vanguard is the worst launch of the saga in Spain in more than 10 years

We return with a new review of the best-selling games in physical format in Spain, with the figures from November 1 to 7, the week in which FIFA 22 for PS4 and Nintendo Switch they were the best-selling game and console in our country.

Fun week to analyze, with many important launches, a multitude of movements in the top, good total sales, which shows that the Christmas campaign is starting to get fully into the weeks with the highest sales of the year. The best-selling game has returned to being FIFA 22 for PS4 with 9800 units, followed by GTA 5 for PS4 with 9000.

In third position Fortnite Pack Mint Legends, a DLC of the popular Epic game that is sold in a box for 29.99 euros and has sold 6500 units give the most water PS4, closely followed by his Switch version.

The big release of the week was Call of Duty: Vanguard, the new installment of the popular Activision saga that, as in the United Kingdom, has not started on the right foot, at least compared to other years. The new Call of Duty has sold 4500 units on PS5 and 4250 on PS4, what supposes the worst launch of the saga at least in the last decade, and possibly a lot more, but we don’t have that far data.

If we compare it with the previous edition, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the figures are noticeably lower since it sold 10,000 units on PS4 and 1800 units on a newly released PS5. But if we compare it with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) the thing is much worse, since it sold 50,000 units in PS4, and being already a figure well below previous years, in which the saga Call of Duty it indisputably dominated the market in its first week.

Other releases that have been left out of the top are are Call of Duty: Vanguard Xbox Series with 500 units and Xbox One with another 500 units, or Fortnite Pack Mint Legends on PS5 with 1500 units and on Xbox Series 300. Another Christmas classic is Just Dance 2022 which has sold 1600 units on Nintendo Switch, 150 units on PS4 and 50 units on both PS5 and Xbox Series, and whose sales traditionally increase in December. Finally comment on the decent sales, especially in its Switch version, of the RPG Astria Ascending, which has sold 900 units on Nintendo Switch and 300 on PS5 in its first week.

Nintendo Switch was the best-selling console by far

This week Nintendo Switch it was once again the best-selling console with 8800 units, of which 3400 were of the new OLED model. It is followed by PS5 with 3,600 units (2,600 with a disc reader, 1000 of the digital model), PS4 with 700, Xbox Series S with 500, Xbox Series X with 250 and Xbox One closes with 15 units.
